I've been slacking off. -_-

Been taking a lot of pictures, but I just feel like a lot of them aren't worth putting up. This one's not stellar either. (I feel like I say that a lot), but I like it.

It was taken in the Plaza de la Villa in Madrid about a month ago, during Carnaval. It was like 10pm, and they'd just concluded their big opening ceremonies. Lots of confetti.

The master of ceremonies was yelling, ¡Viva la alegría, viva la diversión, viva el carnavaaaaaaal!

edit I guess I should note as well that this other deviation from my gallery [link] was taken in that alley right there. :)

Pretty neat. In these situations, a tripod is your friend. It would allow you to shoot at a lower ISO, which means less digital noise in the shadows. Also, the white balance is VERY yellow, and a little red; it's a look, but it screams incandescent bulb. I think it would look better if it was more neutral, especially in contrast to the colorful confetti.

Yeah; if I had had time, for sure I would have tried to get a steady, longer shot, but it was just a random snapshot in a crowd of people. :( Oh well.
